Rodney A. Beadle, PE, CFM Rod Beadle is President of Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. which he founded in Wheaton, Illinois in 1990. He is also a member of a disaster response team that often deploys quickly in the aftermath of a wide variety of disasters. Rod serves as a water, sanitation, and hygiene specialist tasked with providing reliable sanitation facilities and clean water. In October, 2014, Rod travelled to Liberia to manage the construction of a pilot community care center to provide emergency treatment capacity for Ebola victims. Rod will be discussing the challenges of working under stressful and difficult conditions and sharing a few of his experiences after coming home. Rod Beadle is a civil engineer with over 30 years of experience in the design and construction of transportation and infrastructure projects. He has worked extensively as a humanitarian engineer on community development projects throughout the developing world with Engineering Ministries International (EMI) and Engineers Without Borders (EWB). He has served as a professional mentor for several EWB student chapters including Notre Dame’s. In 2010, he joined EMI’s disaster response team. He has been deployed as a water, sanitation, and hygiene specialist in Haiti, Pakistan, Sierra Leon, Kenya, and the Philippines. |
